# Getting Started

> Accepting an invitation, logging in, and finding your way around.

This page covers everything you need before you get into your day-to-day work: getting an account set up, logging in, and recovering access if you get locked out. If you already have an account, skip ahead to [Logging in](#logging-in).

## Accepting an invitation

To access Bajeti Ufahamu, you need to receive an invitation from your facilitator, coordinator or a SuperAdmin.

    You'll receive it by email or SMS, depending, or whatsapp on how the person who invited you sent it.

  <Step title="Check your pre-filled details">
    Your **Location** and **Role** as well as your phone number and email are locked in by whoever invited you and can't be changed here.
    If there is a mismatch please contact the person that invited your to make the update.

  <Step title="Fill in the rest and set a password">
    Add your **Name**, confirm your email an passwors, and choose a **Password** (at least 8 characters, entered twice to confirm).

  <Step title="Submit">
    Click **Submit**. You'll see a confirmation screen and can go straight to the login page.

<Note>
  An invitation link only works once and can expire after some time. If yours
  says "Invalid or expired token," ask whoever invited you to generate a new
  one.

## Logging in

Once your account exists, log in with either email or phone/

  <Step title="Email login">
    Enter your **Email** and **Password**, then click **Login**.

  <Step title="Phone login (OTP)">
    Enter your phone number and click **Send OTP**. You'll get a 6-digit code on WhatsApp (with SMS as a fallback if WhatsApp delivery fails). Enter it and click **Verify OTP & Login**.

## Forgot / reset password

    It's available from both the Email login and Phone login tabs.

  <Step title="Request the reset link">
    Enter your email (if you were on the Email tab) or phone number (if you were on the Phone tab), then click **Send reset link**. Either way, the reset link is sent to your account's email address.

  <Step title="Set a new password">
    Open the link, enter a new password twice to confirm, and click **Update password**.
